Associate Professor Clinical Practice - Pediatric Endocrinology
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will:
- Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions.
- Provide comprehensive pediatric endocrinology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Lead the development of a clinical and/or basic research program within the Division of Endocrinology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship.
- Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License.
- Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
- Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Prior academic experience in resident and medical student education.
- Current transferable funded research.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
