Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent and/or five years related experience.

Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to conduct clinical applications analysis and/or programming of complex systems, analysis of clinical workflows, implementation of solutions, and knowledge of system adoption strategies.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

Grand Central Certification , Prelude Certification & RTE Certification

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors in CIS MIS or 5 years experience in IT.
  • Experience with Epic RTE and Prelude modules.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for formulating and designing specifications for highly complex software and programming applications and/or modifies/maintains existing applications. Investigates, identifies, and implements appropriate solutions for clinical systems to support new and existing initiatives, enhance patient care, increase operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsible for acquiring an understanding of the assigned system applications, functions, and features end-users would experience. Participates in and leads workforce groups to identify and employ technical and application initiatives for best practice and enhanced healthcare operations in alignment with UTMB’s mission. 

 

Job Duties:

This position is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of intermediate to highly complex clinical systems in compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies as it relates to Grand Central, Prelude and RTE and other applications. Prelude/RTE Certification required. 

  • Providing intermediate analysis and documentation.
  • Formulating logical statements of business and management problems to develop requirements for configuration of clinical applications.
  • Providing solutions to intermediate to complex problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures, workflows, and information technology solutions.
  • This role also requires an understanding of the assigned system applications, functions, and features end-users would experience.

 

This employee will be an analyst on the Grand Central/Prelude team and will focus on Grand Central, RTE including Bed Planning and Transfer Center. This employee will also support Prelude while on call. Grand Central experience is required. Prelude experience is preferred but not required. While this position is a remote position, analysts may be required to travel to be onsite to support implementations and therefore should live in the Greater Houston metro area.

Salary Range: 

Minimum: $77,615 and Midpoint: $100,900. Actual salary commensurate with experience. 

 

Work Schedule: 

Remote position. 8am to 5pm, and with rotating on-call support.
