Engineering Technician II - University Parking Facilities (Galveston)
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent and three years related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Parking access gate experience.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Communication networking experience.
- Software support experience.
- Server support experience.
Job Summary:
To provide intermediate level specialized skills in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of scientific, electronic, computer, or mechanical equipment.
Job Duties:
- Develops and tests machinery, and computer or electronic equipment.
- Draws detail drawings or sketches for fabrication.
- Devises or assembles new or modified mechanical or electronic components.
- Conducts tests to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
- Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.
- Consults with medical or research personnel to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.
- Repairs equipment and utilizes machinery, and electronic or computer instrumentation.
- UTMB Auxiliary Enterprises’ equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Equipment spare part inventory management.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
