Federal Work Study Student, Health Education Center
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time.
Job Description:
The student will act as a research assistant with responsibilities related to interprofessional education and simulation research projects for the Health Education Center Office of research, Evaluation, Assessment and Medical Prototyping. The student should have interest in education-based research, and some background in research would be helpful even if coursework related (developing literature reviews, data collection and analysis, writing papers/publications). For specific research skills that are needed for research projects, training and mentoring will be provided by Dr. Kelly Grace, assistant Director for Departmental Research, REAMP.
Job Duties:
- Identifying peer-reviewed publications around specified research topics in interprofessional education and simulation, cataloging and organizing the publications in reference manager Zotero, writing literature reviews.
- Data and database management- data cleaning/processing; managing data files with naming conventions/labels; creating codebooks.
- Data analysis (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods).
- Manuscript editing.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
