Marketing, Media and Communications Specialist, Dean of Health Professions (Hybrid)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years’ experience in public/media relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
Job Summary:
This position is Responsible for supporting, coordinating and nurturing the School of Health Profession’s social media presence, co-developing and executing a social media strategy, deploying Marketing and Communication’s initiatives and providing reporting and analysis of social media and other related data.
Job Duties:
Note: Specific job functions for an individual employee in this role depend on concentration area of position (e.g., Media Relations, Internal/Corporate Communications, Marketing, Digital Communications).
- Helps develop and execute SHP's social media presence and content and assists in managing the school's and department's social media accounts
- Identifies, seeks, and/or produces engaging and timely content
- Uses tools to track, monitor, analyze, and report on social media data
- Develops media pitches and addresses media inquiries, coordinates interviews, etc.
- Organization of appropriate photos for external use – photo database creation, labeling, maintenance – to ensure ads and branding are of high quality
- Ensures quality control regarding the review of SHP Dean communications and presentations – works with Manager and other departments to safeguard all communications, videos, presentations, etc. are high quality and represent the Dean and UTMB effectively
- Supports marketing and communications for SHP events (live and virtual), including promotional content, attendee communications and social media coverage
- Coordinates logistics and administrative tasks associated with marketing and communications projects
- Assists in establishing and attaining goals and objectives
- Conducts special projects and reports
Salary Range:
$62,800 - $78,500; Commensurate with experience.
